No cats, just cat themed.
They will let you order for carry out.
I love getting the tacos or the chicken enchiladas here. The staff must have to pass a personality test to get a job here because they are all friendly and easy to talk to. If the Lost Dog is too crowded come by their sister restaurant, the Stay Cat Cafe. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is tasty. They have a wide selection of draft beer. There is not normally a wait here and it's easy to sit groups of four with their booths.
The Stray reopened today after redecoration, with a new menu, including greater variety and plenty of their usual cat-themed quirkiness. The pretzel bites were tasty, the burgers were cooked perfectly, and the wait staff was super friendly. I recommend the Tabby-tini off the drink menu. Will be coming back to this Westover haunt.
Food was great and price was right.
Great for booz and bites
Food and staff are always excellent, definitely go for the muttly!
I go to Stray Cat 2-3 times a month as I live by. Solid menu and friendly service.
I stopped by for lunch, first time. The cat decor was artsy and fun. I was impressed that they donate to cat rescues. Laid back atmosphere, with a bar, but I was comfortable taking my granddaughter to lunch. I had a delicious apple/beet/pecan salad, topped with a piece of fried feta cheese. So good! Friendly server too!
Nice atmosphere and good food.
Quiet little place that has good service and decent food. We frequent the place about once per month.
Although their previously impressive giant sandwich list has shrunk dynamically, the food is still the same excellent quality. So is the service. One of my favorites in Arlington.
I always want to like this place more, but it underwhelms. The front doors are also really annoying.
As always, a great place to grab a tasty meal. Love it and the Westover neighborhood.
Sister site, next door to Lost Dog. Where Lost Dog does pizza, Stray Cat does sandwiches. And they do them well! Guinness onion rings add-on for any sandwich you want is a surefire victory lap. Less beer on tap than next door but still better than most.
Excellent food. Friendly service in a relaxed atmosphere.
Good alternative if Lost Dog is too busy, but will always play second fiddle. Service has improved over the past few years.
Quiet, good food, neighborhood atmosphere. Nice bar, good selection, friendly staff. Good place for meetings at appropriate times.
Part of Lost Dog; very good food, service, and bar. Tasty food and easy on the pocketbook. Place to go...if want pizza or sandwiches with large on tap selection of beer, go next door to lost dog. Fun place to eat and talk.
Food was very good.
I'm rating the pizza a 4 simply because I thought the sauce was a bit on the weak side. If you order a pizza, order one with lots of meats or veggies to give the pizza an extra pop in flavor. The crust was nice and chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The retail concept is good and a tad on the expensive side but I appreciate the uniqueness of the apparel. The bartender was great. Don't know her name but she rocks. I was there on a Sunday around 3:45pm.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is primarily sandwiches, always well made and tasty. It's a neighborhood place, it supports a good cause, and it never disappoints. If you're looking for fancy, this ain't it. If you want good, affordable food in a non-chain restaurant, this is a great place.
Great menu, staff supper friendly. Bar tender remembered me from 5 years ago.
Great service, Great Turkey Ruben and Onion Rings!
Nice all-around menu with something for everyone. Decent beer/drinks and desserts selection.
Overall, we were really disappointed with our experience at the Stray Cat Cafe this evening. Our waiter was friendly and the food was good enough, but the manager’s rude and aggressive response to my query if the restaurant had an allergen menu totally embarrassed me and really spoiled the experience. It’s surprising because Stray Cat’s sister restaurant Lost Dog Cafe (which is located a few doors down) has a detailed allergen list with a ton of options for people with different food allergies. Plus Lost Dog’s staff has always been very nice and accommodating. If you want a good meal save yourself the trouble and skip the Stray Cat Cafe.
Good service, food, and quiet, easy atmosphere.
Recently renovated old Arlington favorite. Now has artwork similiar to Lost Dog, its sister area restaurant Great place for kids and lunch. Cold beer, small and quaint.
Very good & attentive staff. Menu has a good variety. The ambiance is nice and the walls are covered with colorful "Cat-art". All items on the menu are even named keeping felines in mind. Great place to meet up for a low key appetizing meal. There's a full bar also. A fraction of the $$ the restaurant makes, goes towards rescuing & caring for stray cats. The restaurant group also organizes several adoption events throughout the year. Tag->Also check out a sister restaurant: "Stray Dog Cafe"👍👍
Amazing Tacos! The carnitas were on point!
